About this website- www.siddhivinayak.org. Launched: October 1997.

Internet arrived in India around August 1997. It was then a 9.6 kbps dial-up connectivity via Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) now Tata Communications.

The website www.siddhivinayak.org was test launched in October 1997 which was then officially announced during the Magh Mahotsav of 1998 at the Temple.

India Today, after a detailed survey declared it as the first religious institution in the world to go on Internet.

The website has a lot of "Firsts" to its credit.

         First website to have recorded Aarti Darshan.
Temple Aarti was shot in the Temple and the sound track was converted to .mov, the only supported by Internet that time. Select images then were put into animated GIF format and synchronized with the audio. It gave many a flavour of watching a Live Aarti.

         First website to offer On-Line pooja booking and donation with payment 
          through Credit Card payment gateway.

The On-Line puja booking and donation with payment through Credit Card payment gateway was inaugurated by Shri. Shakaracharya of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. This was on 5th July 2002.

.         First website to have Live On-Line Darshan.
In collaboration with Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited, the Temple started offering Live On-Line Darshan to its devotees 2005 onwards.

         Wallpapers, screensavers and downloadable audios.
Since the year 2006, resources like wallpapers, screensavers and downloadable audios have been available on the Temple's website. The screensaver which integrated a Shloka audio was particularly popular and the newspaper Midday made a center spread story about it.

Today the Temple has a YouTube Channel, a Facebook page and a Twitter account. You can connect with the Temple via Whatsapp, Skype or GoogleTalk. Mobile barcodes are available for visiting the website, take On-Line Darshan or make On-Line Donation.
